Gore Designer: Lempira 2025
As the Gore Designer for Lempira, a mytho-historic rock opera about resistance, unity, and survival, I created visceral stage effects and props that heightened the production’s intensity. Using a mix of prosthetics, practical effects, and custom-crafted blood rigs, I designed safe yet striking gore elements that could withstand the demands of live performance. These designs played a key role in bringing the darker themes of Lempira to life, amplifying both its drama and visual impact.

Burst Eye
For a dramatic eye-gouging effect, I built a glowing prosthetic using a modified eye patch, a ping pong ball, and layers of painted latex.
Severed Hand
Custom silicone hand to serve as a realistic prop for a stage amputation. Silicone allowed for natural detail and movement, giving the chopped off moment a convincing shock factor.
Bullet Wounds
Custom silicone bullet wound prosthetics painted with stage blood.
Stage Gore Effects
This collection showcases a variety of effects: pull-away guts, tear-away throat slit reveal, and quick scratch marks achieved with lip liners taped to the actor's fingertips.
